Topical Hour // Impacts of new Cocoa Prices for Living Income in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire – Views from the sector

Dear members and supporters of the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa,

On Wednesday, October 29th 2025, GISCO will host a “topical hour” entitled Impacts of new Cocoa Prices for Living Income in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire – Views from the sector.

Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana recently announced increased farm gate prices for the 2025/26 cocoa season. We want to discuss with different actors from the sector what this means for cocoa farmers, their income situation and living income strategies.

We are delighted to be joined by four esteemed speakers: Tawiah Agyarko-Kwarteng (CIGHCI), Yolande Kouakou (Director COOPAZA COOP CA), Issifu Issaka (President of the Ghana Cooperative Cocoa Farmers Association), and Nicko Debenham (Sustainability Solutions).

The session will take place from 13:00 to 14:30 CEST and will be conducted in English with French translation.
