DESCRIPTION:Dear members and supporters of the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa\, \nOn Thursday\, 16 April 2026\, GISCO will host a webinar titled “From Buying Bulk to Quality Cocoa: Is decommoditisation a way forward for the cocoa sector?” \nThis seminar explores how the cocoa sector can shift from bulk buying toward sourcing high-quality\, differentiated cocoa that values its origin – a process known as decommoditisation. This means moving away from treating cocoa purely as an anonymous bulk product and instead recognising factors such as flavour\, origin\, and sustainable production. Could this approach help farmers earn higher incomes and build more resilient supply chains?
