Visit to GISCO Project PRO-PLANTEURS

Representatives of the confectionery industry and the federal ministries BMZ and BMEL visited the cooperative KGS COOP-CA to learn about the progress of the GISCO project PRO-PLANTEURS.

A delegation of members of the Association of the German Confectionery Industry (BDSI) as well as representatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), visited the project PRO-PLANTEURS in the Southeast of Côte d’Ivoire in early November. They seized the opportunity to learn on-site about the progress of the cooperative KGS COOP-CA.

Newly awarded for their success

Leaders of the cooperative KGS COOP-CA have successfully completed the 17-months leadership training of PRO-PLANTEURS. Visibly proud, the director of the cooperative, Bamba Zie Mamadou – next to PRO-PLANTEURS project manager Judith Steffens – presents the trophy. It was awarded to the cooperative KGS for the third best result among the PRO-PLANTEURS cooperatives. The highest score was achieved by the cooperative COOP-CA CAPRESSA, the second highest by the cooperative COOP-CA ANONKLON. A total of 18 organizations with 108 leaders participated in the training.
