Official visit of Chairwoman Merit Buama to partners in Côte d'Ivoire

Merit Buama, Chairwoman of GISCO, travelled to Côte d'Ivoire to meet in person with the initiative's partners. On 12 May, together with Sonia Lehmann, head of the PRO-PLANTEURS project, she was received by Mr. Adjoumani, Director of Plant Production at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), who expressly praised the lively exchange within the framework of the project activities. This was followed by a visit to the Conseil du Café-Cacao (CCC) and a meeting with representatives of our European partners SWISSCO, DISCO and Beyond Chocolate. The following day, Merit Buama visited one of the partner cooperatives of the PRO-PLANTEURS project.

“I am impressed by the close and trusting cooperation between the various players,” said Merit Buama. She emphasized that she was particularly impressed by the professionalism of the partner cooperatives. "The scope and depth of PRO-PLANTEURS' approach covers the relevant issues in the cocoa sector, and it is imperative that we continue to highlight the project in GISCO's activities,” she concluded.
