GISCO Secretary elected as vice chair of ICCO's Consultative Board

The Consultative Board of the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) elected the Secretary of the GISCO, Beate Weiskopf, as its vice chair. The office will be awarded for a period of two years. Chairman became Dr. Victor Iyama, President of the Nigerian Cocoa Organization CAN.

The Advisory committee has the important task of advising the Government-appointed Council of the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO), in particular on the main challenges for the world cocoa economy and the sustainable cocoa sector. The meetings of the CB, the Cocoa Council and its bodies took place at the ICCO headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and thus in the main cocoa-producing country.
