German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa and Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa sign Memorandum of Understanding

With the aim of intensifying their cooperation, the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa (GISCO) and the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Friday, 19 January 2018, at the International Green Week in Berlin. Both initiatives stand for sector-wide commitment to a sustainable cocoa sector for today’s and future generations. This is closely linked to improving the living conditions of cocoa farmers and their families as well as preserving natural resources, particularly forests. Both initiatives also aim at increasing the proportion of sustainably produced cocoa.
