The tasks of this group include bringing the topic living income into the national discussion on greater sustainability in the cocoa sector, disseminating approaches and experiences, and establishing an interface to international actors or platforms such as the Living Income Community of Practice.

In the first meeting of the working group in June 2019, two project proposals for piloting living income approaches by Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance were presented. A support group will assist in the further elaboration of both projects. The working group includes the Conseil du Café-Cacao (CCC), the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa (GISCO), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF), Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, Solidaridad, INADES, CARE, DikoCredit, Barry Callebaut, Cargill, CAPRESSA.
