Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana intensify their cooperation in the fields of production and sale of cocoa

Both countries have agreed in a 12-point action plan to set a floor price for cocoa in the global commodity market, below which none of the two countries will sell its produce.

Another key action point is the adoption of a concurrent opening season and announcement of producer prices to be paid to farmers in the two countries.

This corresponds to the Sustainable Development Goal number 1, which states that all forms of poverty have to be eradicated.
