Corona effects in Côte d'Ivoire and on PRO-PLANTEURS

In Côte d'Ivoire, strict precautions against the further spread of the corona virus were taken early on. This also had an impact on our PRO-PLANTEURS project.

Due to the expanding corona pandemic and its expected consequences for West Africa, strict precautions were taken in Côte d'Ivoire at an early stage. Among other things, a restriction on domestic travel from Abidjan and the surrounding area was imposed. This had an impact on our PRO-PLANTEURS project. Project activities such as training and coaching were largely discontinued at the end of March to protect the producers and PRO-PLANTEURS employees. This meant that the last of a total of four face-to-face training sessions for the management level of the cooperatives had to be cancelled for the moment.
But not all activities have been suspended. The Pro-Planteurs team continues to work, like so many people at present and worldwide, but partly from home.
