Annual General Meeting 2018

On May 15th 2018 the 6th General Meeting of the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa took place. The host ministry was the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in Berlin.

Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), opened the event. Dr. Maria Flachsbarth, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), concluded the meeting.
The Chairman of GISCO, Wolf Kropp-Büttner, introduces the lecture part in his welcome address. The theme of his presentation was "Sustainability in the cocoa sector, challenges and solutions from different perspectives".

The general meeting closed with the non-public part. Among other things, the board of directors was newly elected.
Stephanie Gerteiser is the new member of the board and representative of civil society (Actors Group D). Congratulations on your election!

Kristin Rademacher resigned from the Management Board. The Executive Board and the office would like to thank Ms. Rademacher for the good and trusting cooperation.
